Programmer / Control System Engineer
Are you a team player looking to join a growing company in the food, beverage and dairy industry? Atlas Automation, located in Rochester, NY, is looking for a strong Programmer/Control System Engineer to join our team. This engineer will be responsible for implementing designs and programming that meet or exceed customer expectations in areas including system architecture, electrical design, PLC and HMI programming, and more.
Required Experience:
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
- PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley PLC5, SLC, Logix; other platforms a plus)
- HMI design experience (Wonderware, FactoryTalk View; other platforms a plus)
- Knowledge of common industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet)
- Low-voltage electrical design & layout (UL 508A panel design knowledge a plus)
- Ability to read Process & Instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)
- Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Team player who can adapt well to engineering standards
Desired Experience:
- Variable Frequency Drive selection and setup (AB PowerFlex and others)
- Component and instrumentation specification and integration
- Food, beverage and dairy-specific process and programming knowledge
- Sanitary requirements & CIP system knowledge
- Database experience, including SQL Server
- Design and tuning of PID loops for process control
- Ability to independently manage and implement small capital projects

- Must be willing to travel throughout the US for project startups as needed
- Must be willing and able to work holidays, weekends or extended hours as needed for shutdowns
- Must have valid driver’s license

Project Manager / Process Design Engineer
Are you a team player looking to join a growing company in the food, beverage and dairy industry? Atlas Automation, located in Rochester, NY, is looking for a strong Project Manager/Process Designer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for implementing designs and documentation that meet or exceed customer expectations in areas including sanitary/stainless piping, process equipment specification, process system implementation, and customer interface.
Required Experience:
- Process Design / Utility System Design
- AutoCad: Plant Layout, P&ID, Bill of Materials (BOMs) etc.
- On Site proposal Walk Downs
- Proposal Cost Development
- Technical Meetings
- Project Management/ Project Management Support

Welders / Working Foreman
Are you a team player looking to join a growing company in the food, beverage and dairy industry? Atlas Automation, located in Rochester, NY, is looking for Welders and Working Foreman to join our installation team.
Required Experience:
- The ability to read shop drawings
- Sanitary purge welding
- Understanding process piping drawings and experience with layout of piping
- Experience with installing piping in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA training
- Carbon steel pipe welding
- TIG welding experience a must
- Strong knowledge of carbon, stainless steel pipe and sanitary tube fitting techniques
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail a must
- Ability to travel a must
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of the Food and Beverage Industry a plus
- Leadership skills a plus
